Spring 2025 Media Studies GSI and Reader Positions
Please see the open Media Studies Graduate Student Instructor (GSI) and Reader positions listed below. All positions are pending budgetary approval.
GSI positions are typically 50% appointments for teaching two sections. Reader positions are 25% variable appointments, with final percentage pending course enrollment on Friday of third week. Readers are paid $19.53 an hour and are hired at 25% variable time, which is equivalent to a total of 170 hours for the semester. Total work hours will be finalized based on enrollments and will be adjusted accordingly.
Employment offers will be contingent on the candidate’s eligibility and availability at the designated teaching times.
Applications from individuals with and without past teaching experience are welcome. Finalists in the application process may be asked for copies of their teaching evaluations, if applicable.
